It features the second highest per-shot damage of all sniper rifles, beaten only by the IMP-S. It takes noticeably more skill to use than most sniper rifles due to the exceptionally slow rate of fire.

Multiplayer

Due to it's exceptionally high power, it is very popular sniper rifle, although difficult to use. It will one shot kill on most occasions (and probably 100% chance with flash hider/recoil booster), wherever the bullet hits the enemy. This makes the Aresk a popular sniper among trickshotters and casual players, as its bolt-action nature makes it more exciting and powerful than a semi-automatic.

Weapons in MC5 don't seem to suffer from decreased damage or accuracy when not aiming down the sights, unlike in Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour This makes the Aresk a potent close quarters weapon (however this is not suggested due to the low rate of fire making it vulnerable to being outgunned by other players with full-auto weapons).

At first, this weapon had a very low damage output. After two hotfixes, it can kill with one shot (when using the Flash Hider).
