The Buckshot is a powerful fully automatic shotgun sporting a large drum magazine of up to 25 rounds coupled with maximum armor penetration. It possesses a solid rate of fire, and manageable recoil even when firing full-auto, making it a versatile and deadly shotgun. Its statistical profile is similar to that of the Sering 9, but superior in most areas and with close to twice the magazine capacity (though with a slight drawback in mobility over the Sering 9).

The unique mechanic of the weapon allows each kill to increase accuracy by 20%, lowering the initial shot spread, which can be stacked up to 10 times, and expiring upon death; potentially allowing for weapon effectiveness at much longer ranges than conventional shotguns. (However, it should also be noted that swapping to a secondary weapon or picking up dropped weapons also resets the stack counter back to 0).

+
  • High damage (on average 2 shots per kill)
  • Maximum armor penetration
  • Solid effective range
  • Large magazine size
  • SMART mechanic
  • Lower rate of fire than some other automatic shotguns
  • Omni-directional kick when ADS
  • Lower damage than pump-action or single-action shotguns
  • Lower-than-average mobility
  • Changing weapons or picking up weapons resets the SMART mechanic counter to 0.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The Buckshot has the highest magazine capacity of all shotguns in the Modern Combat series.
