Energy is a feature in Modern Combat 5: Blackout.
In Blackout, players are given an Energy meter of 10 units (viewable at the top of the title screen) which depletes by a select amount every time they play or restart a mission. Once the player has run out of Energy units, the player must either wait for the Energy meter to recharge before playing another mission, or spend Credits to refill it.
Players also have the option to purchase Power User status with Credits, which gives them unlimited Energy for the duration of the Power User purchase.
- Originally spending Energy was required for both Campaign missions and multiplayer matches, however in 2017 Gameloft removed the Energy requirement for all multiplayer matches, with using Energy now only required to play Campaign missions.
