Military Support allows for players to summon support options during a match to give their team special advantages. It is usually earned when a player acquires a certain amount of kills in a row without dying ("killstreaks"), but can be bought using credits in Fallen Nation.
Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation[]
The skill Field Specialist will reduce the required kills by one. Field Specialist Elite will reduce the required kills by two, making the skill very good at countering Armor users.
In the multiplayer modes of Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation, the player is given various rewards depending on how long the killchain lasts. Most military support provide air support, but some, like the Satellite Scan, Helicopter Support and the Nuke can help the user's entire team by giving or in other ways.

Modern Combat 5: Blackout[]
In Modern Combat 5: Blackout, military support is earned by performing killstreaks (killing a certain number of opponents in a row without dying.) with the exception of the Bounty Hunter class (which can directly purchase military support by filling up its Bounty Meter, which is done by collecting opponents' dropped weapons)
The player can choose two groups of support options, for a total of six military supports. Choosing a military support group can be done before each spawn (however if a player switches to the other military support group in the middle of a match, any Support options they had unlocked will be reset). Military support is not available in Free-For-All.
Group 1[]
Kills required | Reward | Description |
---|---|---|
3 | Recon Aircraft | Calls in a recon helicopter that marks the locations of all hostiles on the mini-map of the player and their teammates. Remains active for 20 seconds or until destroyed. Certain Armor Cores provide the Recon class immunity to being scouted. |
5 | Auto-Turret | Allows the player to summon an automated turret at their current location that targets and shoots at hostiles in its vicinity. Remains active for 30 seconds or until destroyed. Certain Armor Cores provide the Recon class immunity to being targeted by the turret. |
7 | EMP Strike | Initiates an EMP strike which disables enemy radar and disables any deployed equipment (including turrets, drones, recon helicopters, air strikes, and bombers). It also temporarily prevents enemies from calling in Military Support and prevents enemy players from distinguishing between friend or foe (unless an enemy directly highlights a player with their crosshair - in which case either a red or green indicator will appear). Remains in effect for 60 seconds. Certain Armor Cores provide players with immunity to EMP strikes. |
Group 2[]
Kills required | Reward | Description |
---|---|---|
3 | Scout Drone | Deploys a scout drone that scans in a radius of 15 meters. Hostiles within the radius will be highlighted in a red outline, even behind walls. Remains active for 30 seconds or until destroyed (the drone will also self-destruct upon the deploying player's death). Certain Armor Cores provide the Recon class immunity to being scouted. |
5 | Air Strike | Calls in a fighter jet which can be directed to bomb a specified area of the mini-map, killing or damaging any hostiles in the area. After deploying the support option, the player will be directed to drag the cursor across an area of the the mini-map for the jet to bomb. The fighter jet will also shoot down any recon helicopter it encounters. It can be stopped with an EMP Strike. |
8 | Bomber | Calls in a bomber which files in a straight patch across the map, bombing any hostiles in its path who are out in the open, killing or severely injuring any hostiles caught in its bombing run. Unlike the Air Strike, the bombing area does not have to be designated by the player, and the bomber will actively target any hostiles it encounters during its run over the map. The bombing can only be avoided by hiding in covered sections of the map (such as indoor areas). However deploying an EMP Strike will stop the bombing run. Certain Armor Cores also provide immunity to being targeted by the bomber. |
